You are invited to join Dexter Roberts, an award-winning journalist, speaker, and author, in a Zoom tele-meeting as he discusses some of China’s governmental policies that may be hindering a better life for its citizens and holding back its economic transition. Mr. Roberts will speak, and then answer questions in a Q&A.

About the Speaker:

Dexter Tiff Roberts is an author, speaker, and analyst on China economics, business and politics. He presently serves as a nonresident senior fellow in the Atlantic Council’s Asia Security Initiative and a fellow at the Mansfield Center at the University of Montana. Previously he was a reporter and China bureau chief for Bloomberg Businessweek and was based in Beijing for more than two decades. He has interviewed numerous Chinese and foreign company CEOs, as well as senior government officials, and has reported from all of China’s provinces and regions including Tibet and Xinjiang, as well as Hong Kong, Taiwan, Mongolia and North Korea. His latest book, The Myth of Chinese Capitalism, was published by St. Martin’s Press in March 2020 — available at Amazon.
