Foundations of Mandarin & Continuing classes are taught by Willow Zheng, a native Mandarin speaker with more than 17 years experience in teaching Mandarin as a second language.  Except where necessary (at the beginning), classes are conducted in Mandarin Chinese, which is very beneficial for listening comprehension. We use the ACTFL Proficiency Guidelines, to help students use language functions in the real world, and we emphasize Chinese culture and customs for students and businesses planning to travel to China.

All classes are held in the Center for Philanthropy on the second floor adjacent to the Northwest China Council office in Old Town Chinatown: 221 NW 2nd Ave Ste 210J, Portland, OR 97209.
